I had a chance to meet up with the inspiring Jennifer Tavernier a fitness athlete, American Ninja Warrior competitor, health coach and social media influencer. She shares such an incredible message and inspires the health and wellness of so many!
I get to meet some incredible people in my field. For this project I was introduced to the amazing team at Amek Home Remodelers to take some images for a designer's showcase. The redesigned a residential basement used for their family and a place for their kids to hang out. I love the funky style and the pops of color that made this a space I'd like to spend some time in.
I have a good friend named Brittany, that I've known for a long time. She used to live close by and then far away and some times she'll visit close by or I'll go visit close by to where she is. Each time, we've gotten in this little habit of meeting up for a photo shoot to check in on life, talk about what's been going on with each other and it's been really fun to watch her grow up into this strong, capable and confident person.
On this particular day, we picked a spot that was rain soaked and swollen with recent rains. It was flooded and treacherous to say the least. At one point, I was carrying her on my back past some pretty nasty nettles when I tried to step on a log that just happened to be a floating log. We went down fast and took a little unintended swim. I was chest deep in swamp water and she landed on her back in the mud. All this before we ever actually started shooting. It was all part of the adventure and so much fun to hear her heart, listen to everything that's been going on lately and bond over the experience of it all. Here are some of my favorites.
